White pine is used as a secondary wood. The case top is made of one or possibly two boards with overhanging edges at the front and sides. It is attached with screws in pockets and additional screws alongside glue blocks. Each of the case sides is composed of one board with squared edges. The front four legs are continuous from the floor to the case top, splitting the case front into three sections. The legs are secured at multiple points with mortise and tenon joinery and glue blocks.  The case has three upper drawers of equal height, one in each section of the case. The left and right drawers have a pronounced semicircular curve while the central drawer is flat. The drawers are faced with a horizontal light wood veneer, mahogany and light wood string inlay, and mahogany banding. The center drawer is decorated with a central rectangle of mahogany veneer containing a wide diamond-shaped light wood veneer. Rows of mahogany and light wood stringing surround the diamond, and petals project from the lower corners: three on either side and one on the bottom. The drawers are constructed with half-blind dovetails at the front and through dovetails at the back and sides. The drawer bottoms are made of a single board with horizontal grain and attached with nails and glue blocks. The bottom boards are chamfered at the front and sides. The top front rail of the case is attached with screws and two vertical dividers are glued into place. The upper drawers rest on full depth dust boards.  Beneath the row of upper drawers are doors covering the left and right sections of the case and drawers and doors in the center section of the case. The side doors are curved and laminated, each composed of eight boards: two vertical boards at the edges with six horizontal boards between them. The doors are hinged along the outer vertical edges and fitted with keyhole surrounds at the center of the inner vertical edge. The doors are veneered with mahogany surrounded by a light wood string inlay and a contrasting mahogany banding.  The center section of the case has two tall, thin drawers flanking a pair of central doors. The tall drawers are faced with a vertical light wood veneer, mahogany and light wood string inlay, and mahogany banding. The lower drawer construction is similar to that of the upper drawers excepting that the drawer bottoms are not attached with nails and their grain runs vertically. Three interior dividing pieces are also inserted into grooves inside of both drawers, reaching about half of the drawer height. The bottom drawers rest on the case bottom. Vertical drawer dividers separating the drawers from the doors in the center section have double tenons into the front of the horizontal dividers. The central doors are flat, each composed of three boards: two horizontal boards at the edges with one vertical board between them. The doors are veneered with mahogany surrounded by a light wood string inlay and a contrasting mahogany banding. The case interior is open.  All drawers and doors retain their original hardware including knob pulls, keyhole surrounds, and locks.  The case back is composed of multiple boards, but could not be examined closely. The case bottom is composed of three boards, corresponding with the three case segments. A large split in the central board is repaired with a long diagonal board stretching across the case bottom with an additional board nailed over it. The bottom construction is reinforced with glue blocks. Four front and two rear therm legs extend from the floor to the case top. The front four legs are decorated with two sections of light wood veneer surrounded by sand shading on an additional light wood veneer. A row of light wood banding surrounded by two rows of dark stringing with dash and arrow decoration surrounds the front and sides of the case at the bottom edge.
