The crest of the chair has three miniature spindles connecting the top rail and bottom rail, creating four open spaces. The stiles cant slightly outward. Between the stiles are seven tapered, bamboo-turned spindles. The plank seat is shield-shaped, slightly dished, and chamfered along the front edge. The four bamboo-turned legs are splayed.
