Sloping, upholstered vertical wings extend forward from either side of the back. The top and front-facing edges of the wings are faced with mahogany. Short arms curve downward from the tops of the wings to meet arm supports that are continuous with the front legs. The seat is upholstered over the rail. The arm supports are spindle-shaped with reeding and are flanked by turned rings above rectangular corner posts. The fronts of the corner posts are veneered with figured wood. Below the posts, the legs each have a straight, turned section surmounting a ring turning and tapering, reeded section. Two additional front legs have the same design. All four front legs terminate in spindle-shaped feet.
