The solid oval top is composed of one board with quarter-round molded edges. The top is nailed to a rectangular board running along the long axis on the underside. Nail holes indicate that the board originally ran across the short axis of table top and has been re-positioned. The top is supported by a baluster-turned pedestal with a cupped top and a ring turning around the base. The pedestal is connected to the rectangular board under the table top with a mortise and tenon. The pedestal terminates in flat-sawn S-form tripod legs connected to the pedestal base with sliding dovetails. Two of the legs are also screwed into the pedestal at the top. One dovetail is lacking wood at the top and bottom of the tail. Nail holes on the underside of the legs and pedestal base indicate that it was reinforced with an iron spider at one time.  The table top is significantly warped and the board under the top may have been repositioned to counteract the warping.
