(54 cm)"},{"label":"Description","value":"Queen Anne-style high chest of drawers made of walnut with pine secondary wood.  The upper case is surmounted by an overhanging pediment of complex molding. The case holds two top drawers horizontally aligned above four graduated, full-width drawers. All drawer fronts have beaded molding around the edges and inlaid frames of herringbone banding framing the drawers and veneer. The veneer and inlaid tablets on the fronts of the full-width drawers give the illusion of two side-by-side drawers. The narrower drawers each have a single bail pull mounted on a solid, bat-wing back plate. The full-width drawers each have two bail pulls on solid, bat-wing back plates and a central bat-wing escutcheon.  The lower case has quarter-round and cove molding along the sides and front of the case top. The lower case has four drawers: a full-width drawer with similar veneer, inlay, and hardware as the full-width drawers of the upper case surmounting a row of three taller drawers with similar veneer and inlay as the narrow drawers of the upper case. The two outer narrow drawers each have a single bail pull mounted on a solid, bat-wing back plate. The center narrow drawer has a concave, gilt-painted shell-inspired design oriented along the lower edge of the drawer front. A single ring pull is mounted in the center of the drawer front.  The shaped apron is recessed at center, following the profile of the shell carving. The recess is flanked by turned drop finials and serpentine and plateau cutouts. There are similar cutouts along the bottom edges of the case sides.
