Surmounting the upper case is a molded double-arch bonnet top with ovolo-top doors concealing gilded carved shells and shelves. The door fronts have mirrors, locks, and shaped escutcheons with keyholes. Below the doors are knobbed, pull-out candle shelves. The lower desk has a fall-front lid with a shaped escutcheon with a keyhole. Behind the lid are pigeonholes with shaped valances, knobbed drawers, and a molded central prospect door flanked by half-round turned pilasters with flame finials. The lid rests on knobbed lopers. The lower case holds four graduated drawers; the top one is set between the lopers. All of the drawers are molded around the edges and have escutcheons with bail pulls and keyholes. The base is molded.
