(203.2 cm)"},{"label":"Description","value":"Federal-style high-post bed made of mahogany, maple, and pine primarily and birch and pine secondary wood, with a tester frame, four posts, and a headboard.  The top frame is in an open box shape. The head posts are cylindrical and tapered except at the bed frame, where they are block-turned at the joint between the back and side rails of the frame. The headboard is curved and tenoned to the head posts with convex cutouts on the side edges. The tops are smooth and cylindrical, followed by reeding and spool turnings and a vase-shaped section carved with a classical motif and additional spool turning. Just above the corner plinths are cylindrical segments. The rails of the bed frame are joined by corner plinths at the front and at the front and sides of the corner plinths are engraved bolt hole covers. The legs are smooth, vase-shaped, and have ring turnings.
