(23.5 cm)"},{"label":"Description","value":"Federal-style tall case mahogany clock.  Surmounting the hood is a fretted cornice with three ball-and-spike finials mounted to fluted plinths. The top of the hood has an arched pediment with beveled molding. The glazed arched hood door conforms to the rounded arch shape of the pediment. Two freestanding columns and capitals flank the dial door. The lunette above the metal dial features a moon phase. Roman and Arabic numerals denote time via the clock face dial. In addition to the pierced scrolled hour and minute hands hour and minute hands, there is a small time-circle with Arabic numerals to track seconds. An arched display window, which is flanked by winding holes, tracks calendar days. Below the calendar aperture, [WARRANTED BY / E TABER] is inscribed on the dial face. Four corner spandrels outside the time circle are decorated with painted foliate designs.  The trunk has a coved shoulder and waist molding at the front and sides. Flanked by fluted quarter columns at the front edges, the trunk door is framed in light-wood stringing with fan-shaped marquetry in each corner as well as a keyhole at left. The trunk door is attached with two hinges.  The base section is veneered and framed in lightwood string inlay with fan-shaped marquetry in each corner. The flat front skirt has stepped molding.
