The lid has quarter-round molding around the edges and a keyhole surround. The interior has two stepped tiers. The bottom tier has three drawers in a row. The top tier has two stacked drawers at center, with inset blocked fronts with fan carving at the top; flanking these drawers are vertical document drawers with turned half columns. To the outside are eight pigeonholes with arched valances, over four drawers. All the interior drawers have round metal knobs. The case has four graduated drawers with quarter-round molded edges, shaped escutcheons, and bail pulls. The lopers also have quarter-round molding around their front edges. Cove-and-quarter-round molding forms the top of a narrow skirt with a shaped pendant.
