The cupid's bow crest rail is ogee-arch with a central shell carving, with pointed ears, carved to simulate backward curving continuous with the side stiles. The chair back has a vase-shaped splat. The trapezoidal seat is upholstered over the rail and secured with upholstery tacks. The front cabriole legs have cove-molded knee brackets and terminate in claw-and-ball feet; the back legs are stump. Turned stretchers brace the legs: two side and one medial forming an h-shape and one rear mounted higher than the others.
