Eight interior views of the entrance hall; a parlor; another parlor decorated in an Oriental style (both Japanese and Chinese elements are found); a music room with a Steinway grand piano; a library with a lady's work basket, a dog, and a parrot; the dining room with cabinets filled with china; and two views of the art gallery with its paintings and sculptures. The house was decorated with the most fashionable furnishings of the time period, with both walls and ceilings either wallpapered or painted, crystal chandeliers (probably gas), carpets, paintings, sculptures, animal heads, curtains, furniture, books, etc.\nThe house was owned by George Knowles Crozer (1839-1921). Crozer was a textile manufacturer in Upland; his father John Price Crozer (1793-1866) established a textile mill in 1845, and his sons continued the business after his death. George graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1860. He served briefly as a captain in a Pennsylvania militia unit during the Civil War. He married Emma [surname unknown], and they had several children.\nIn 1881, Crozer added an art gallery to the mansion, and it has been reported that he allowed local school children to visit the gallery. The Salvation Army acquired the land in the 20th century, using the property as a camp for underprivileged children. Delaware County acquired the land in 1968 for use as a county park.
