The straight-front table top is composed of two fixed boards with rounded corners and three bands of integral cock-bead molding around the edges. The top overhangs the apron on all four sides and is attached to the frame with screws and glue blocks. The apron features false drawers on both of the long sides which are outlined with integral cock-bead molding and have two turned wooden knobs. The short ends of the apron contain real drawers with matching drawer fronts of solid mahogany and white pine interiors. The drawers are constructed with half-blind dovetails at the front corners and through dovetails at the back corners. The drawer bottoms are chamfered at the sides and fit into grooves in the drawer sides. The drawers each have two turned wooden knobs.  The table top is supported by a turned pedestal mortise and tenoned into a block running between the long ends of the apron. The pedestal features ring turning at the base below a smooth baluster-form element and two ring turnings in the center. The top of the pedestal is composed of a smooth shaft which swells outward above the ring turnings. The tripod sabre legs are attached to the pedestal with sliding dovetails reinforced with an iron spider. The top surfaces of the legs are reeded while the sides are flat sawn. The legs terminate in brass lion's paw mounts with castors. Each lion's paw has four hairy toes with claws.
