The interior has a central prospect door with a vertical shaped keyhole surround and an inset serpentine scrolled panel with astragal molded edges. The door is flanked by vertical document drawers fronted by turned half columns with flame-and-urn finials. These are flanked by eight pigeonholes and six drawers with a serpentine blocked facade. The pigeonholes have arched valances and serpentine dividers; the drawers are arranged two over one and have round metal knobs. The case is blocked in three distinct sections with rounded upper corners and has four graduated drawers with cock-bead molding around the openings. The drawers have their original escutcheons, in the shape referred to as pine tree, and bail pulls.
