The yoke-back crest rail has a smooth carved fan shape in the center and outward flared ears in the corners. Inscribed lines beginning in the center of the right and left side of the crest rail continue down onto the top of the pierced splat, making it appear that the crest rail is continuous with the splat when they are actually separate pieces. The splat is carved with an "owls eye" pattern and mortise and tenoned into the rear seat rail at the bottom. The trapezoidal seat is framed by four rails with integral bead and quarter-round molding along the top edges of the front and side rails. The top of the seat is upholstered with a modern textile with a floral and garland pattern. The front and side seat rails are mortise and tenoned into the tops of the cabriole front legs. The front legs terminate in pad feet with very thick pads. The rear stump legs are continuous with the rear stiles and joined to the side and rear seat rails with mortise and tenons. The front and rear legs are connected by H-form stretchers with an additional stretcher between the rear legs. The center and rear stretchers are spindle-turned while the side stretchers are of block and cylinder form. The rear legs have chamfering on all four edges below the seat and the rear stiles have chamfering on the back edges above the seat.
