Wing back chair with vertical back and straight crest rail. Earlobe-shaped wings on each side of the upper portion of the chair. Scrolled arms. Rectangular seat. Decorative, round-headed upholstery tacks on the face of the arms outline the wings, top and the bottom of the upholstery. The front cabriole legs are flanked by carved and shaped knee blocks and terminate in pad feet. The rear Marlborough legs are chamfered on the sides above the stretchers. Stretchers are assembled in an H-shape with an additional rear stretcher. All stretchers are turned with a baluster shape that is typical of Boston chairs from this time period. Stretchers attached with pegged mortise and tenon joints.    The front feet were replaced, as evidenced by clean cuts across the bottoms of both front legs. Break in the stretcher by the rear left leg. Left knee block replaced and attached with nails.
