The top of the hood has a broken scroll pediment terminating in inlaid fan rosettes and an applied ogee-curved keystone with alternating light- and dark-wood inlay. The pediment has cyma-recta molding. The glazed arched hood door conforms to the rounded arch shape of the pediment with an inlaid elongated diamond-shaped escutcheon at left. Two freestanding columns and capitals flank the dial door. The lunette above the metal dial features a moon phase. Roman and Arabic numerals denote time via the clock face dial. In addition to the pierced scrolled hour and minute hands hour and minute hands, there is a small time-circle with Arabic numerals to track seconds. An arched display window, which is flanked by winding holes, tracks calendar days. Below the calendar aperture, [E. Taber, / ROXBURY] is inscribed on the dial face. Four corner spandrels outside the time circle are decorated with painted floral designs. The trunk has a deep coved shoulder and waist molding at the front and sides. The serpentine-top trunk door has light-wood stringing at edges and a large figured-mahogany oval bordered by triple-line stringing at center enclosed by mitered mahogany veneer with an inlaid elongated diamond-shaped escutcheon at left. The trunk door is attached with two hinges. The area below the door and front of base is veneered and inlaid with a horizontal oval and a large circle. Opening the trunk door reveals brass and iron eight-day works with brass bob pendulum and sand-filled tinned sheet iron weight. The ogee-scrolled front skirt has a stepped astragal arch at center. The side skirts have a flat arch. The clock stands on French bracket feet."},{"label":"Date Digitized","value":"1/19/2019"},{"label":"Marks, Signatures, and Inscriptions","value":"Inscribed on dial: [E.
