The crest of the chair back has three miniature spindles connecting the top rail and bottom rail, creating four open spaces. The rods are all bamboo-turned with paint highlighting the grooves. Between the stiles of the chair back are seven spindles that are tenoned to the base of the plank. The seat is balloon-shaped with an oval contour. The outline of the seat is painted. Four legs extend from the plank, which is rounded at the front with squared edging.
