Nine bamboo-turned spindles, one broken, are tenoned into the underside of the bentwood component and into the seat. The front of the bentwood back is incised with a double line of beading. The saddle-shaped seat is composed of a single board. An incised line outlines the portion of the seat into which the spindles are tenoned. Four bamboo-turned legs are tenoned through the seat. An H-shaped stretcher is composed of two side stretchers with swelled centers connected with a double bamboo-turned stretcher. The chair is painted black. Worn areas reveal a green paint layer. The paint is chipped.
