The maker of the clock case is unknown.    Hood: A gallery at the top of the hood has scrolled fretwork carving at the front and diamond and scrolled fretwork carving at the sides. Three wooden finials atop plinths are mounted on the top of the hood. The finials on the left and right sides are egg shaped with two black, inscribed horizontal lines and delicate ring turnings at the top. The central finial is shorter and rounder in shape with one inscribed, black, horizontal line with a small sphere at the top. A large, curved piece of wood with cove and half-round moldings is attached to the hood. The hood door is arched with a single brass pull at the front. The sides of the hood are outlined with moldings and inset with two lights, or glass windows. The moldings between the hood and the trunk are cove, ogee, and quarter-round in shape, and secured with nails. The brass movement of the clock is present and features a striking mechanism. The arched dial plate is composed of brass and painted metal. The dial face also has two winding holes, one hour hand, one minute hand, and a seconds dial. The spandrels of the clock are decorated with pierced brass work depicting eagle, urns, floral, and foliate motifs. The top of the dial face is painted with a ship and harbor scene. The clock has two pulleys, two weights, and one key for the trunk door. The clock is not in working order.    Trunk: The front of the trunk has reeded edges that extend almost the entire height of the trunk. The rectangular trunk door is arched and pointed at the top. The trunk door has a lock. The cove and half-round moldings that outline the edges of the trunk door are attached with nails. The trunk door is secured to the trunk with two strap hinges. The shape of the trunk door is imitated on the sides of the trunk with similar applied moldings. Moldings between the trunk and the base are ogee and cove in shape and extend along the front and sides.    Base: The cove moldings at the base of the clock extend along the front and sides and are nailed into place.
