(54.6 cm)"},{"label":"Description","value":"Walnut and burl walnut veneer chest-on-chest. The upper case has an overhanging top with complex molding along the front and sides. The upper case has two side-by-side drawers surmounting three graduated, full-width drawers. The lower chase has a full-width sliding shelf surmounting two side-by-side drawers and two graduated, full-width drawers. The bottom drawer has a recessed fan shape along the bottom edge with light and dark wood inlay forming a small fan with rays extending the full span of the recess. Fluted, angled pilasters flank the drawers of the upper and lower cases; the angled faces are echoed in the shapes of the upper case top and the lower case skirt. The drawer fronts are all similarly veneered. The narrow drawers each have burl walnut veneer with darker wood veneer around the outer edges of the drawer fronts. The full-width drawer fronts have two fields of burl and darker veneer that give the illusion of two side-by-side drawers. The narrow drawers each have a single bail pull on a shaped back plate; the full-width drawers each have two bail pulls on shaped back plates and a central escutcheon with keyhole.
