The table top has one fixed board and one hinged leaf. The table top overhangs the apron on all sides. The edge of the table top has sand-shaded banding in alternating light and dark segments bordered by light and dark wood stringing. The fixed board is attached to the apron with screws and glue blocks. A swing rail is joined to the fixed hinge rail with a knuckle joint and a wood pintle. The leaf is attached with original card table hinges.    The serpentine curve of the apron is built up through lamination at the front and sides. The apron is joined with mortise and tenon joints with the exception of the through dovetail joint between the side rail and the end rail behind the swing leg. Corner blocks with screws further secure the top to the apron. The rectangular tablet at the center of the apron front has a mahogany cartouche, surrounded by checkered stringing. The mahogany cartouche is set in a rectangular frame of mitered rosewood bordered by alternating light and dark wood stringing, sand shaded banding, and saw tooth stringing composed of alternating half lozenges of light and dark wood. The apron has a band of sand-shaded veneer in an alternating dark and light pattern along the straight lower edge. The banding is bordered on the top by light and dark wood stringing, and on the bottom by saw tooth stringing composed of alternating half lozenges of light and dark wood.    The double-tapered square legs are attached to the case by mortise and tenon joints. The legs are ornamented with light wood stringing at the front edges that forms an arch just beneath the apron banding. At the bottom the stringing terminates at a banding of light wood that wraps fully around the legs and is bordered by light wood stringing.
