The top of the upper case is flat with decorative molding around the edge. The space between the molding and drawers is decorated with a painted foliate motif and trimmed along the bottom in dashes. The upper case has two narrow drawers above three full-width drawers. Each drawer is fitted with two brass, bat-wing bail pulls flanking a central shaped escutcheon. The mid-molding between the upper and lower cases is stepped and beveled. The lower case has two drawers side-by-side, with only one shaped escutcheon each and no bail pulls, above three squared drawers. The two outside square drawers each has a bat-wing bail pull. The middle squared drawer has a bat-wing bail pull and a depressed design that resembles the look of an umbrella. The skirt of the lower case has cyma and ogee curves that may have once held drops. The cabriole legs terminate in pads. Black paint had been applied in the 1800s but is now removed."},{"label":"Date Digitized","value":"7/17/2018"},{"label":"Marks, Signatures, and Inscriptions","value":"Underside of the dust board separating the two lower drawers of the upper section: [Robert Davis]; To the left of the signature of Robert Davis: [re [?] Domini [?]]."},{"label":"Materials","value":"Maple; White pine; Paint; Gilding; Gesso; Brass"},{"label":"Style","value":["Queen Anne"]},{"label":"Basis of Date","value":"Dated about 1733 by the Baltimore Museum of Art."},{"label":"Date (EDTF)","value":"D:00 M:00 Y:1730 - D:00 M:00 Y:1735"},{"label":"Basis of Origin","value":"Robert Davis was a japanner active in Boston from about 1710 to 1739.
