When fully open, the tabletop is square with cyma curved sides, squared corners, and bowed front and back edges. The table has a fixed top composed of one rectangular board with elongated cyma curved sides, squared corners, and a bowed front edge. The fixed board has overhanging edges at the front and sides. A row of checked light wood banding surrounded by dark and light wood stringing surrounds the front and side top edges. The table has one leaf composed of a single board with an identical shape that unfolds on hinges to rest on one gate leg. The hinges have a circular projection at the center where the leaf meets the fixed tabletop. The top is attached to a rail running horizontally behind the front legs with screws in pockets and long glue blocks at the corners. The table frame is laminated on the front and sides. The back legs run from the floor to the tabletop, and it seems that the frame boards are mortise and tenoned to the legs. The front legs may end at the bottom of the table frame. An additional board is nailed to the back rail forming a gate leg with a knuckle hinge. Two spacer pieces are visible between the back rail and the gate leg board. The front and sides of the table are veneered with figured mahogany. Two vertical columns of checked light and dark wood banding split the table front into three sections. Banding also runs around the bottom edge of the front and sides. The center section contains a figured lightwood oval surrounded with dark and light wood stringing. Above the legs, figured light wood rectangles are surrounded with similar dark and light wood stringing. The table has four therm legs with four integral therm feet following a row of checked banding that surrounds all four legs.
