(223.5 cm), Length 90.5 in (229.9)"},{"label":"Description","value":"Mahogany drop-leaf library table. The circular top of the table has one fixed central board, flanked by two hinged leaves. The fixed board is attached to the frame with glue blocks and flat-head screws, which are fitted into screw pockets. The frame of the table is constructed with mortise and tenon joints and dovetails. All legs pivot on knuckle hinges attached to the table frame and the lower stretchers. The drop-leaves rest on rectangular supports with ogee, chamfered ends. Four baluster-turned legs are attached to the pivoting elements of the frame with mortise and tenon joints. The legs terminate in club feet. Sliding dovetails attach a decorative sabre leg to the base section of each of each baluster-turned leg. The ends of the decorative sabre legs are covered with brass caps. The piece has a lower box stretcher with knuckle joints at each corner. Additional stretchers extend from the knuckle joints to the lower sections of the baluster-turned legs.
