The saddleback crest rail has gadrooning across the front with a triangular acanthus leaf carving in the center. The gadrooning continues over the top edge of the rail, creating an overhanging edge on the back. The peaked corners of the crest rail have roundels with floral carving on the front and four tapered lozenges below.    The crest rail meets the outward rolled arms at either end. The arms are upholstered over the top rail and terminate in roundels with floral carving on the front ends, matching the roundels on the crest rail. The front arm rails are S-curved and continuous with the straight front seat rail. The upper section of the S-curve has foliate carving while the lower section has four rows of reeding which continues across the front of the seat rail.    The rectangular seat has been re-upholstered in a modern blue textile and there are upholstered bolsters at either end. The front seat rail features two rectangular panels above the front legs with willow motif relief carving. The sofa is supported by four outward-facing sabre legs which are mortise and tenoned into the front and rear seat rails. The front surface of the front legs are carved with three tapered rows of reeding inside raised edges. The rear legs are flat-sawn on all four sides and each has a small applied turned button on the back. The legs terminate in brass castors with a molded shell and leaf design on top of the brass cuffs.    The right arm of the sofa has two diagonal breaks across the front rail and the upholstery is heavily torn on the top surface. There is also some wear to the upholstery on the left side of the seat.
