(53.3 cm)"},{"label":"Description","value":"A Queen Anne-style dressing table constructed of walnut with crotch walnut veneer and red cedar drawer linings. The top has four bookmatched veneered panels in a border of light and dark stringing, a medium wood band, and then light and dark stringing. The outer edge of the top has a wide band of plain wood and quarter-round molded edges. The case has five drawers, all with veneered panels bordered by stringing and banding matching that on the top. The drawers are arranged in two rows, with two drawers in the top row and three in the bottom. The upper drawers each have a bail pull on a keyhole surround. The lower outer drawers each have a bail pull on an escutcheon in the center and a narrow inlaid keyhole surround at the top. The central drawer has an inset blocked front with an arched top to the blocking; the blocked area is gilded and painted with a shell, with a round metal knob in the center of the shell. The skirt is serpentine arched with flat tops, edged with cock-bead molding, and has two gilded acorn-and-flame pendants. The pendants have threaded posts. The cabriole legs have pad feet.
