The case top is a rectangular board with front and side overhanging edges joined with wooden pins or pegs. Veneered rectangles are added on front corner edges, protruding out and supported by ogee-curved platform comprised of three pieces of veneered wood.  The case sides are complete boards with squared front edges with plain slightly tapered columns glued to front, with molding at the top and base. Columns with three quarter-round and beaded molding terminate in a series of convex and concave rings and a cylindrical base. There are large cracks in the veneer on the right and left side of case, with damage to the right column.  The case back is composed of three boards oriented vertically and rabbeted. The outer boards display clear saw marks. The case bottom is a single board attached with glue blocks. The front lower rail and sides have applied beveled molding.  The case stands on four turned front and rear feet. The two front feet are either tenoned into continuous with the columns, while the rear feet are round tenoned into blocks attached to the underside. The front and back feet display different patterns of convex/concave half-round turning.  The case contains two sets of drawers. The first set of two side-by-side drawers are located underneath the case top and set back from the case front. The drawer fronts are solid with a half-round or elliptical profile and applied piece of veneered molding on underside, with quarter-round profile. The drawer fronts cover dovetails on case face. The drawer backs are hand-sawn, and top edge of back is deliberately chamfered. The right drawer has a piece of veneer glued to back. The drawer bottoms each contain one board with chamfering at the front and sides, and nailed at the back. The sides are dovetailed and nailed to back and front, and the bottoms are let into grooves in the front and sides. The drawers rest on the bottom of the upper shelf. An added veneer on inside of case side, cut to match curved profile of drawer front, extends beyond board to which it is adhered. One vertical divider located at the center, between case top and secondary protruding shelf top, glued and slid into horizontal opening.  The second set of four graduated drawers is deeper than the upper drawers. The top drawer is designed and styled similarly to first set, with the elliptical profile. The three remaining drawers have flat fronts veneered in bookmatched mahogany and outlined in beading. The drawer bottoms are chamfered along the front, sides, and back. Dovetails attach the sides to the front and back; the bottoms are nailed to the sides. Grooves are let into the front and sides, and drawers rest on runners with the bottom drawer resting on the case bottom. Drawer stops are glued into place, with one missing. Runners also have additional piece of wood nailed into place to keep the drawers from moving. It is difficult to determine how the dividers are attached. The faces of the dividers are veneered. Two grooves are cut into the top front rail to ease the top drawer out. The drawers are fitted with replaced escutcheons and pulls, inconsistent with style of piece.  For the looking glass, two pillars are round-tenoned into the case top. The pillars support the framed mirror via hinged pivoting device which allows for swinging movement. The frame consists of mahogany panels meeting at mitered corners. A pine board at the back of the mirror is held in place with nails driven sideways into the frame. The pillars are turned with a quarter-round base and taper slightly towards top to terminate in a series of convex and concave quarter-round turnings topped by acorn-shaped finial.
