(60.4 cm)"},{"label":"Description","value":"Windsor-style, backward-scrolled tablet top chair constructed primarily of mahogany, with a seat made of pine, mahogany arms, and an oak back stretcher.  The tablet has flower stenciling. From the crest are five long and slender spindles, terminating in bulb and cylindrical turnings at the spindle platform between two turned stiles. The arms are serpentine and the arm supports consist of two short spindles, one thin and the other thick.  The slightly dished seat is oval-shaped and grooved. Four bamboo-turned legs extend from the plank. There are two bamboo turned side stretchers as well as matching front and back stretchers.  [J. THAYER] branded under seat.  The chair is painted yellow with green decoration. The paint is peeling and chipping.
