The sofa back is curved with squared shoulders. The back of the sofa is a separate frame which attaches to the rear stiles. The rear stiles are joined to the seat rail and composed of multiple pieces of wood. The sofa has a framed, rectangular seat; the seat upholstery and components have been replaced.  The sofa has two arms that extend in front of upholstered wings. Each arm is attached to the upper, front corner of a wing and curves down into a vertical arm support. The top surface of each arm is fluted. Ring turning separates the arm from the reeded, bulbous arm support. The bottom of the arm support flares outward with ring turning where it meets the rectangular corner blocks at the front corners of the seat. The front and side surfaces of the corner blocks are decorated with applied, turned wooden circles inscribed with additional concentric circles. The front-facing edges of the upholstered wings are covered by narrow mahogany frames inset with figured mahogany veneer.  The sofa has four front legs and four back legs. The legs are attached to the seat rail with mortise and tenon joins. The stump back legs flare outward at the foot. The tapering front legs are turned with three stacked rings above an elongated, inverted urn, and a ring just above the foot.
