Howard & Co. of Boston. The elongated rectangular cherry case has a carved pediment with a concave front profile and incised stylized leaf carving across the front. The top of the pediment is ornamented with four finials, two ball-shaped in the rear corners and two flattened-ball-and-disc-shaped in the front corners. A slightly raised gallery with saw-tooth pattern carving along the top edge spans the back between the finials.  The front edges of the case are reeded and there are carved concentric circle elements in the four front corners. The case front has a door attached with two butt hinges on the right side. The door has a round glass dial window at the top and a long rectangular glass pendulum window with rounded corners below. The area around the dial window features four triangular sections in the corners with incised stylized sunburst decoration. The pendulum window is outlined with integral ogee molding.  Inside the case, the circular painted iron dial is attached to a wooden backing with four screws at the top. The dial has an hour and minute hand and painted Roman numeral chapter marks. There is a keyhole on the upper right side for winding the clock works behind the dial. The clock is weight driven and the original nickel plated pendulum and weight are present.
