The chest lid overhangs the case front and sides and has molded edges. The case sides are framed with recessed panels. Rails are applied to the exterior top edges of the case sides to support the case lid. The case front is panel framed. A central stile divides the front into two panels. Molding is applied within the panels on the exterior to create six sided geometric figures. Upper and lower horizontal rails have the same integral molding profile as the central stile. A keyhole is fitted in the center of the upper rail. Below the front panel is a single full-width, side-hung drawer with molding around the edges of the drawer front. The drawer has two wooden knobs. The case stiles are continuous with the legs, which are supported with box stretchers. The legs and stretchers are bobbin turned. The legs terminate in compressed ball feet.  Traces of black paint appear on legs and grooving. The moldings, panels, legs and stretchers show traces of red paint. Some panels have traces of floral decoration.
