Rectangular back with a curved profile, yoke-back crest rail, and curved shoulders. The crest rail is pegged into the rear stiles, which are made of one piece of wood and continuous with the back legs. The stiles are tapered so that they are narrower at the top. The splat is vase-shaped. The back edges of the splat and the interior back edges of the rear stiles are chamfered. The splat is tenoned into a horizontal rail with a cove molding at the bottom.  The chair has a trapezoidal seat with replaced rush. The front legs are baluster-turned with alternating urn-shaped and squared sections. The back legs are stump legs. The legs are mortise and tenoned to the seat rail. The flat stretchers are set flush to the exterior edges of the front legs and the rear stiles. They are pegged in place. The front stretcher is baluster turned with a triple ring at center and flask shaped ends. They are mortise and tenoned in place. The front feet are turned with a pad and the back feet are racked back stump feet. There is a red finish on the chair to make it look like mahogany.
