Surmounting the upper case is a broken arch pediment with decorative and dentil moldings. Between the peaks of the triangular pediment is a central gilt finial. Additional dentil molding above blind web fretwork decorates the frieze. Paneled and molded doors are flanked by fluted pilasters with carved capitals. Shaped escutcheons with keyholes are on both doors. Two knobbed candle slides are below the doors. The lower case has a fall-front lid with a batwing escutcheon and keyhole and four drawers, the top on set between knobbed lopers. Inside the desk are two sets of three small stacked drawers (the top one a shell) and two pigeonholes with ogee valances above a single drawer with a knob flanking a central prospect door with smooth pilasters topped by flame finials. Each drawer has bail pulls on batwing escutcheons and a keyhole. Around the base is decorative molding. The legs are cabriole with carved brackets on ogee bracket feet.
