(62.5 cm), Length of the top 33 in. (83.8 cm)"},{"label":"Description","value":"Federal tilt-top table constructed of mahogany. The tilt-top is rectangular with rounded edges. There is a reeded molding on all edges of the top. Two cleats are screwed to the underside of the top with flat headed screws. The pedestal block has an integral pintle bridging the cleats to create a hinge. A brass latch secures the table in the horizontal position. An earlier finish is visible on the underside of the table above the block between the cleats.  A baluster-turned pillar is tenoned into a laminated block. The tenon is oval with two through sections on each side. Four sabre legs are attached to the bottom of the pillar with sliding dovetails. A two-piece iron spider holds the legs in place. The ends of the legs are capped with decorative brass feet. The cast feet have acanthus leaf decoration on the top and castors on the bottom.  A long split in the pillar was repaired with a quarter-size, circular repair.
