The rectangular case has a flat top, bottom, and sides made of white pine with mahogany veneer. The case back is one solid pine board. The case front is constructed with four mahogany-veneered pine boards with ogee molded front profiles and mitered corners. A glass and mirror door is attached to right side of the case front with two butt hinges. The door is framed by four mahogany veneered pine rails with a horizontal cross rail separating the upper rectangular glass dial window from the lower rectangular mirror panel.    Inside the case, the square painted metal dial is held in place by four metal brackets attached to two pine braces that extend out perpendicularly from the case back and extend halfway down the length of the back. The dial has an hour and minute hand and painted Roman numeral chapter marks inside a circular outline. Rose and leaf groupings are painted in the four corners outside the circular outline. A cutout in the center of the dial reveals the brass clock movement behind the face and there are two key holes near the bottom of the dial for winding the clock works. The clock is weight driven and the original brass pendulum, two pulleys, and two weights are present.
