The case top is mortise-and-tenoned into the frame, with cove and half-round molding nailed along the front and sides. The molding contains additional decorative detail of diagonal incised lines along half-round component. Underneath the molding, a front-facing panel contains carved decoration of swirling acanthus leaves, circles with crosshatched design, and a central humanoid face in raised relief, blowing \"wind\" to either side. Punch marks evident in negative space. Similar detail is carved into case sides, which are panels set into frames and meet at a square edge with the case front. Two massive pilasters flank the case front. The pilasters are carved with scrolled leaves and a griffin; additional applied leaf carvings are nailed into wood at the base of the griffins' feet. A glass door set into an ogee-molded frame opens to reveal two free-standing shelves supported by sawtooth wooden supports at all four interior corners. The interior of the case is completely covered with red velvet, making it difficult to determine details of case construction. The case back is a panel set into a frame and mortise-and-tenoned into the sides. The case bottom contains additional molding and terminated in a larger platform base with carved incisions to resemble wavy lines. Beneath this platform, the case rests on two front carved paw feet and two rear block feet, each mortise-and-tenoned into the case bottom."},{"label":"Date
