The case top consists of one board with overhanding, ogee-molded edges along the case front and sides. An elaborate backboard extends above the back edge of the case top and supports a single, wide shelf. The backboard is shaped with flat, cut scrolls and cyma curves. The top, center section of the backboard has a carved shield. Flat, cut scrolls extend forward onto the case top to support the shelf, which has a shaped front edge.  Below the case top, the case sides are constructed of five framed, recessed panels with canted, rounded front corners and inlaid chamfering. The case bottom consists of three boards with overhanging side and front edges, attached with nails. The front and side edges are cut in integral ogee molding.  The case front consists of a row of three side-by-side drawers surmounting three doors. The mahogany drawer fronts are outlined in applied molding to create a paneled affect. Each drawer front has a single keyhole centered in an applied wooden disc turned in concentric circles. The full-height drawer sides are dovetailed to the drawer fronts and backs. The drawer bottoms have grain running side-to-side. The front and side edges of the undersides of the drawer bottoms are chamfered. The drawer bottoms are set into grooves in the drawer fronts and sides and nailed to the undersides of the drawer backs. The drawers rest on dust boards that extend the full depth of the case. The dust boards are faced with mahogany strips with double bead molding. Two vertical dividers fronted with mahogany strips are held in place with glue blocks. Small drawer stops are mounted to the top surface of the dust boards near the fronts of the drawer openings.  The lower section of the case has three doors, each the width of the drawer above it. The recessed-panel doors have arched center panels outlined in applied molding and surmounted with shell carvings. Each door opens to reveal a single fixed shelf the front edge of which is cut in a double-ogee profile. Vertical dividers span the full height and depth of each opening.
