The elongated octagonal top has an arrow-shaped indentation that has been partially repaired with strips of wood. There is some wood loss on the edge of the table top. The top is composed of one board and is attached to the pedestal base with one screw, visible at the center of the table top. The screw may be a repair. One cleat runs horizontally on the underside of the table top and is attached with screws. The turned and tapered cylindrical pedestal is secured to the table top with a single screw. There are three incised lines at the bottom of the pillar just above the legs. Two wooden pins on the bottom of the pillar in between the legs repair a crack that extends vertically from the base of the pedestal. Sliding dovetails attach three cyma curved, squared, and tapered legs to the pedestal. One of the sliding dovetails is separating. A circular, metal spider is nailed to the underside of the pedestal to secure the sliding dovetails. The undersides of two of the legs have additional nail holes, suggesting that the spider may be a replacement or may have been repaired. If the spider is replaced, it is an early replacement. Chisel marks are visible on the undersides of the legs. The legs terminate in therm feet which are shaped so that the top edge of the back of the foot is higher than the top edge of the front of the foot."},{"label":"Date
