The rectangular back has a pronounced serpentine curve along the top edge. The trapezoidal seat has evidence of corner blocks. The seat and back of the chair have been recovered and are now upholstered in a striped, yellow textile. There is braiding at the front corners of the seat surrounding the tops of the legs and cording along the edges of the chair back. The front legs are turned, reeded, and tapered, with a single ring turning at the base of the legs. The front legs are secured to the seat rail with mortise and tenon joints. The joint where the top of the left leg meets the seat rail is loose. Figured maple tablets are inlaid above the front legs. There is an unidentified dark wood inlay around the edges of the tablets. The rear legs are rectangular in shape and raked back. The rear legs curve inward slightly at the foot. The curved arms have an added second curve where the arms meet the arm support.
