The chest of drawers has two half-width drawers surmounting two full-width, graduated drawers. The case top is formed from one board with overhanging edges at the front and sides with integral bead molding. The top is joined to the sides with mortise and tenons and reinforced with glue blocks. The case sides are framed with recessed panels. The case back is made of three butt-jointed horizontal boards attached with glue blocks. There is no case bottom. The bead molding is applied to the front and side bottom edges of the case; nails are visible attaching the molding to the underside of the bottom front rail.  The front vertical edges of the case are columnar frame elements that are continuous with the legs. The tops of the columns have raised concentric moldings that stand proud of the case top. Carved acanthus leaves surround the columns at the height of the top drawer. Below the acanthus leaves are single ring turnings, a small plain turned section, and reeding. Multiple ring turnings surround the columns at and below the level of the case bottom and continue as tapering, reeded legs to terminate with a ring turning and ball feet. Below the case bottom, the front and back legs are identical.  The chest of drawers has two half-width drawers surmounting two full-width, graduated drawers. The drawer fronts are solid with integral bead molding. The drawers are dovetailed at the front and back. The drawer sides are full height. Plane marks are visible on the exterior surfaces of the drawer backs. The drawer bottoms are each made of one board with side to side grain on the wide drawers and front to back grain on the narrow ones. The drawer bottoms are chamfered at the fronts and sides where they are let into grooves and nailed to the undersides of the drawer backs. The drawers rest on runners attached with nails and glue; some runners appear to be original and some are replaced. It is unclear how the top front rail is attached. The two dividers are mortise and tenoned in place. The bottom front rail is attached with a half-blind sliding dovetail, as is the vertical divider between the top two drawers.  The chest of drawers is surmounted by a rectangular looking glass in an adjustable frame atop a small rectangular case with three side-by-side drawers. The mirror frame has six lines of bead molding. The mirror is held in place by hinges attached to tapered pieces of wood on either side with three lines of bead molding on their fronts and scrolls at the sides. The top of the mirror case is composed of one board with overhanging edges at the front and sides with integral bead molding. The top is attached with screws. The corners of the mirror case have turned pieces with evenly spaced rings and three concentric circles on its flat top. There are three equal-width drawers below the mirror. The drawer fronts are solid with integral bead molding. The drawers are assembled with dovetails at the front and back. The drawer sides are full height. Plane marks are visible on the exterior surfaces of the drawer backs. The drawer bottoms are one board with a side to side grain. There is chamfering at the front and sides where the bottom is let into grooves. The drawers rest on the original runners which are attached with glue. The top front rail is attached with a half-blind sliding dovetail, as is the bottom front rail. The mirror base does not have a case bottom. Instead the case top of the dresser functions as the case bottom.
