In 1948, Mabel Swan identified this chair as one of the 30 chairs Bright made, including as evidence its inclusion in an 1852 newspaper drawing of the Senate Chambers. In 1964, Richard Randall questioned the identification of this chair as part of the 1797 commission, stating that its design is more typical of the 1820s; he identified other chairs as part of the original commission based in part on provenance. Randall's assessment has largely been accepted. It is highly unlikely that George Bright was involved in the production of this chair."},{"label":"Maker","value":["Bright, George, cabinetmaker, 1726-1805, active about 1750-1800"]},{"label":"Other Name","value":"Bergere; Berge?Çres; Chair, arm"},{"label":"Object Type","value":["Chair"]},{"label":"Object Use","value":"Seating furniture"},{"label":"Category","value":"Furniture"},{"label":"Title","value":"Armchair"},{"label":"Date Modified","value":"1/22/2019"}],"description":"Armchair","sequences":[{"@type":"sc:Sequence","canvases":[{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/winterthur/iiif/5f8bee95-6be6-414e-9d2f-0fad9a5562b4/canvas/_1","@type":"sc:Canvas","label":"Armchair","height":1500,"width":1119,"images":[{"@type":"oa:Annotation","motivation":"sc:painting","resource":{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/winterthur/iiif/5f8bee95-6be6-414e-9d2f-0fad9a5562b4/full/full/0/default.jpg","@type":"dctypes:Image","format":"image/jpeg","service":{"@context":"http://iiif.io/api/image/2/context.json","@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/winterthur/iiif/5f8bee95-6be6-414e-9d2f-0fad9a5562b4","profile":"http://iiif.io/api/image/2/level2.json","tiles":[{"width":512,"scaleFactors":[1,2,4]}]},"height":1500,"width":1119},"on":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/winterthur/iiif/5f8bee95-6be6-414e-9d2f-0fad9a5562b4/canvas/_1","metadata":[]}],"thumbnail":{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/winterthur/iiif/5f8bee95-6be6-414e-9d2f-0fad9a5562b4/full/500,500/0/default.jpg","@type":"dctypes:Image","height":500,"width":500}}]}],"thumbnail":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/winterthur/iiif/5f8bee95-6be6-414e-9d2f-0fad9a5562b4/full/500,500/0/default.jpg","logo":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/winterthur/iiif/logo"}
