Surmounting the upper case is a broken-arch pediment with three carved and turned urn-and-flame finials. The tympanum is outlined in string Inlay and carved with foliate decoration below the central finial. Mirrored ogee-arched-top doors flanked by fluted pilasters open to reveal concave top rows of pigeonholes with ogee valances and recessed shell ceilings, small stacked inlaid drawers, small row of inlaid drawers, stacked pigeonholes, and adjustable shelves. At the bottom of the upper case, in recessions are knobbed pull-out shelves. The base is trimmed by decorative molding. The hinged fall-front lid opens to reveal eight pigeonholes with ogee valances, a series of small inlaid drawers stacked two-by-two, and a central prospect door flanked by pilasters. The drawers and the door are rounded. Below are four graduated drawers with escutcheons and bail pulls on the side and also on each drawer front. The top drawer is set between knobbed lopers. The drawers are molded around the edges and inlaid. Around the base is decorative molding.
