The lid has an inlaid eight-point compass star and molded edges. The interior has a central prospect door with a central inlaid eight-point compass star and double stringing outline, flanked by vertical document drawers with turned half columns, flanked by eight pigeonholes with arched valances over two rows of four drawers with double stringing outline and round metal knobs. The prospect door opens to reveal several drawers. The case has four graduated drawers, cock-bead molding around the drawer and loper openings, ogee molding around the bottom, and straight bracket feet.
