The cornice of the mirror frame has splayed molding and projects at the front corners, creating a central recession. Along the underside are decorative balls equally spaced and additional decorative molding. The side stiles of the frame are twist-molded and abut to plinths at the top and bottom corners. Featured at the top of the frame is a reverse-painted glass tablet with the image of the ship Constitution on the water. The tablet is separated from the looking glass by a plain mullion. The rail between the plinths at the bottom corners is twist-molded. According to DAPC staff, as of 1967, the glass was replaced."},{"label":"Date Digitized","value":"1/19/2019"},{"label":"Marks, Signatures, and Inscriptions","value":"Printed, paper label on back; Label not photographed and transcription provided by DAPC staff (1962): [Williams and Everett, Manufacturers of Looking Glasses and Picture Frames?ǪNo. 234 Washington Street, Boston]."},{"label":"Materials","value":"Unidentified wood; Glass; Paint; Gilding"},{"label":"Style","value":["Federal"]},{"label":"Basis of Date","value":"Date range based on city directory listings for William & Everett at 234 Washington St., the address on the label.
