The desk interior has a central prospect unit consisting of three stacked, narrow drawers. The uppermost drawer has a shaded fan inlay surrounded by a light wood string inlay arch. The inlay continues straight down the fronts of the two lower drawers, creating the illusion of blocking. Each of these drawers has a single brass knob. One either side of the prospect unit is a single wide drawer surmounting two side-by-side drawers surmounting four pigeonholes with serpentine valances. The wide drawers each have two brass knobs; the narrower drawers each have one. Below the desk surface, the case has an oxbow facade. The case has four graduated drawers. The uppermost drawer is flanked by lopers, each of which has a single knob. The drawers each have a shaped escutcheon and two bail pulls with back plates of the same design as the escutcheons. The drawer openings have bead molding along the edges. The complex molding along the side and front lower edges of the case follows the profile of the case front. The case rests on ogee bracket feet."},{"label":"Date Digitized","value":"7/20/2018"},{"label":"Marks, Signatures, and Inscriptions","value":"Engraved label on upper surface of drawer bottom of middle drawer in prospect unit: [Benjn Frothingham / Cabinet Maker / in / Charlestown, NE] with subscript [N.H.
