The crest rail is ogee-arch with pointed ears. There are four vertical slats constituting the chair back. The slats are flared at top with thin shafts and hexagonal shapes per spindle on short trapezoidal bases, forming an arcade. Below the chair back frame are rear stiles, sloped and pointed inward. Along the seat frame are visible tool and upholstery marks.
