(43.2 cm)"},{"label":"Description","value":"Empire-style tilt-top stand constructed of mahogany and brass. Elongated octagon top with an integral, quarter-round molding. Two cleats are screwed to the underside of the top with screws. The top is attached to the pedestal with tenons that extend from the block into the insides of the cleats. A round spring latch that appears original locks the top in place. The block is attached to the pedestal with a square tenon that is wedged on all four sides. The pedestal is turned with a cylindrical shaft with a lower urn and incised rings. Three sabre legs attach to the pedestal with sliding dovetails.
