Legs are mortise and tenoned to the skirt. The fixed, structurally integral, central board has a drop leaf on each side. The two drop leaves are attached to the central board of the table with two hinges per leaf. With leaves extended, the top forms an approximate square with notched and rounded corners. Table top was originally attached to the frame with screws and pockets. The screw pockets appear on the outside of the skirt, perhaps indicating that the structure of the table was rebuilt. Currently the top is attached to the skirt with glue blocks. Knuckle hinges connect the drop leaf supports to the central table frame. The drop leaf supports are half crescent shape that fit into matching shaped mortises cut into the skirt. A wedge-shaped cleat has been added to one side for the support to rest on when leaf raised. Small, circular holes that measure about 0.188 in. in diameter are irregularly spaced around the underside of the top on the edge of the leaves. Identical holes form a cluster on the edge of the underside of the central table board on the opposite side of the drawer back. There are irregular saw marks on the drop leaf supports and inside of the skirt.    Tapering therm legs have a double taper at the base surmounted by a mahogany band. Unidentified, light wood stringing outlines the full length of the leg and the transverse band of contrasting mahogany as well as the upper portion of the legs at the height of the skirt. The shape and inlay decoration is the same for all four legs.    The single drawer of the table rides on rails attached to the inside of the skirt beneath the fixed central board. The solid, mahogany drawer front appears to have been replaced and does not have any hardware or pulls of any kind. There is no decoration on the drawer front. The drawer sides are full height and are connected to the sides and back with hand-cut dovetails. The drawer bottom is a single board with front-to-back graining and chamfering on the underside at the front and sides. It is let into a groove in the front and sides and then nailed to the underside of the back. The bottom board projects past the back of the drawer by 0.188 in. The drawer is side hung and rests on runners, which appear to be original and are attached to the inside of the skirt with nails. Extra glue blocks function as stop blocks for the drawer. The upper and lower drawer rails are mortise and tenoned into the sides of the skirt with a 3.25 in. chamfer on the lower, front side of the bottom rail (presumably to accommodate a finger space to open the drawer).
