Urn and corkscrew finials are mounted on top of rectangular plinths at the front corners and on a plinth that extends from the center front of the pediment. Below the cornice is a central tall drawer with a central arched recess with a scallop carving; shorter drawers flank the central drawer. The area of the case front above these drawers and below the pediment is outlined in light wood stringing. Four-pointed inlaid stars flank the central drawer and surmount the shorter drawers. The lower edges of these three drawers are in alignment. Below are four full width, graduated drawers. Fluted pilasters flank the drawers. The sides of the upper case are each inlaid with a single four-pointed star.  Decorative molding outlines the front and sides of the lower case top. The lower case has a single short, full-width drawer over three taller side-by-side drawers. The center lower drawer has a gilded central arched recess with a scallop carving. Two drop finials on the front skirt follow the placement of the lower drawers. The sides of the lower case are each inlaid with a single four-pointed star. Four cabriole legs support the lower case. The legs terminate in pad feet.  The drawers of the upper and lower cases are treated similarly. The drawer fronts stand proud of the case front. The short, narrow drawer fronts have a central rectangular field of figured mahogany veneer surrounded herringbone stringing. Banding outlines the drawer fronts, each of which has a single bail pull on a solid bat-wing back plate. On the narrow drawer fronts with recessed shell carvings, there is a single knob mounted just below the shell. The full-width drawers have fields of bookmatched figured mahogany veneer, stringing, and banding applied to give the illusion of two side-by-side drawers. Each of the wide drawers has a central escutcheon and two bail pulls on solid bat-wing back plates; the full-width drawer on the lower case is missing its pulls."},{"label":"Date Digitized","value":"1/18/2019"},{"label":"Materials","value":"Walnut; White pine; Brass"},{"label":"Style","value":["Queen Anne"]},{"label":"Basis of Date","value":"Dated by DAPC staff."},{"label":"Date (EDTF)","value":"D:00 M:00 Y:1730 - D:00 M:00 Y:1740"},{"label":"Basis of Origin","value":"Attributed to Boston by Brock Jobe, 2015."},{"label":"Place of Origin","value":"Boston, Massachusetts"},{"label":"Other Name","value":"Tallboy; Highboy; Case of drawers"},{"label":"Object Type","value":["Chest of drawers"]},{"label":"Object Use","value":"Case furniture"},{"label":"Category","value":"Furniture"},{"label":"Title","value":"High chest of drawers"},{"label":"Date Modified","value":"1/18/2019"}],"description":"High chest of drawers","sequences":[{"@type":"sc:Sequence","canvases":[{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/winterthur/iiif/541c861b-7e00-4c7d-9891-a0ffe51d1108/canvas/_1","@type":"sc:Canvas","label":"High chest of drawers","height":1500,"width":945,"images":[{"@type":"oa:Annotation","motivation":"sc:painting","resource":{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/winterthur/iiif/541c861b-7e00-4c7d-9891-a0ffe51d1108/full/full/0/default.jpg","@type":"dctypes:Image","format":"image/jpeg","service":{"@context":"http://iiif.io/api/image/2/context.json","@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/winterthur/iiif/541c861b-7e00-4c7d-9891-a0ffe51d1108","profile":"http://iiif.io/api/image/2/level2.json","tiles":[{"width":512,"scaleFactors":[1,2,4]}]},"height":1500,"width":945},"on":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/winterthur/iiif/541c861b-7e00-4c7d-9891-a0ffe51d1108/canvas/_1","metadata":[]}],"thumbnail":{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/winterthur/iiif/541c861b-7e00-4c7d-9891-a0ffe51d1108/full/500,500/0/default.jpg","@type":"dctypes:Image","height":500,"width":500}}]}],"thumbnail":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/winterthur/iiif/541c861b-7e00-4c7d-9891-a0ffe51d1108/full/500,500/0/default.jpg","logo":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/winterthur/iiif/logo"}
