Elongated oval tablet crest rail followed by one slat. Mahogany veneer in relief on the tablet and slat. Rectangular back is curved for comfort. Rear stiles are joined to the seat rail and continuous with the back legs. Four sabre legs attach to the seat rail with mortise and tenon joints. Trapezoidal seat, likely constructed with mortise and tenon joints. Replaced upholstery and upholstery foundations. The seat is secured and it is difficult to determine seat construction with certainty. Seat rails are screwed to the piece and back seat rail may have been replaced. Two metal braces: one attaches to the front right seat rail and inside of the front right leg; the second attaches to the front and right seat rail. Each metal brace secured with four screws.
